Referenced in dockets brought before the Indian Claims CommissionTraditional Knowledge:
Eva L. Godfroy Bossley was the sister of Ira Sylvester "Ves" Godfroy. She operated as the secretary to the Miami Nation of Indiana. In this position Bossley prepared a tribal roll to account for membership. After the passing of her brother, Ves, Bossley took the stance that claims awards should be distributed to the older members of the tribe. The Peru Council agreed with this stance and determined that claims aways should not be distributed past the fourth generation of those originally included on the late 19th century rolls.
